Amazon’s October Prime Event is nearly here and great coffee deals are already rolling in.
Amazon Prime Big Deal Days will run from Midnight (Pacific time) Tuesday 8th October until the end of Wednesday 9th October 2024. It’s a chance to get a head start on your holiday shopping or get yourself a little treat before the chaos of the Holiday season.
We’re already hunting down the best coffee deals from the event so keep checking back here to find the perfect coffee machine (or accessory) at an amazing discount. We only include items that are ACTUALLY deals based on the usual RRP, and not where prices have been artificially inflated.

Prime Day discounts are available exclusively to Amazon Prime members. If you’re not already signed up and you’re a student or 18-24 years old, you can get a whopping 6 MONTH FREE TRIAL! For everyone else, you can get 30-days.
This means you can bag some bargains and cancel risk-free if it’s not for you.
Philips 3200 with LatteGo
One espresso machine we can always count on finding in Amazon’s sales is the Philips 3200 LatteGo.
Unfortunately, it’s been discontinued and replaced with the 3300 but that doesn’t stop it from being a great machine (this is our full review). Though this might be one of the last times we see it on sale, so don’t miss out.
It’s a mid-range super-automatic espresso machine designed with simplicity in mind. Sure, there are more sleek options out there but I like having all the buttons visible.
The built-in grinder has ceramic flat burrs which are usually only found on premium machines.
It only has 5 pre-programmed drinks and the milk foam is a little dense for my taste.
But being so simple to use and clean makes it a very attractive option.
Breville the Barista Pro
It’s no secret that we think Breville espresso machines are great. They form a great halfway house between having to do everything yourself and not being able to control anything.
And our absolute favorite model is the Barista Pro (you can read our full review) so seeing it reduced in the sale is a no-brainer for us.
It’s the perfect middle ground between affordability and functionality.
This is the upgraded model of the previous gen, Barista Express which is also on sale if you’re looking to spend a little less.
DeLonghi La Specialista Arte
A fantastic espresso machine with an integrated grinder for less than $500? Um, yes please!
This is a great deal for an entry-level machine that doesn’t require a bunch of accessories.
As a pretty straightforward machine, the La Specialista Arte will grind the beans but the rest is up to you. We particularly enjoy the quality of the milk wand and having a pressure gauge to keep an eye on the extraction.
You can really get into the weeds working on your espresso shots and you’ll soon be pro home barista. At this price, it’s a really good value machine.
DeLonghi Dedica Arte
Having a small kitchen shouldn’t be a reason to compromise on espresso quality.
The DeLonghi Dedica Arte has a small footprint for the impressive quality it produces.
Don’t get me wrong, it won’t blow you away if you’re a proper espresso nerd. But it will produce a pretty solid shot and the Latte Art milk system is great if you want to flex your artistic muscles.
Breville the Barista Touch
The Barista Touch straddles the ease of a super-automatic machine with the customization of a semi-automatic. So you need to trim and tamp your coffee grounds, but then it does everything else for you.
(If the hard labor of tamping your grounds is too much, check out the Barista Touch Impress which is also discounted just now.)
You can create 8 unique drinks alongside the 5 pre-programmed options. Simply select your drink of choice and off it goes.
There is also the option to do everything manually if you prefer.
Overall, this is an excellent hybrid option for anyone who wants it all.

DeLonghi Magnifica Start with LatteCrema
This is a great little espresso machine for anyone looking to streamline their morning coffee routine or cut out those expensive trips to the coffee shop.
You get 4 one touch coffee recipes plus hot water, 13 grind settings, and the great LatteCrema milk system. Plus it’s really easy to clean.
As we’ve come to expect, DeLonghi once again delivers an excellent value-for-money super-automatic espresso machine.
If you shop directly with DeLonghi, the Magnifica Start with LatteCrema comes in at $649. So anything less than that in the Prime Big Deal Days event is a good deal.
For an even bigger saving, the discontinued DeLonghi Magnifica S is also on sale. Whilst there’s no automatic milk and it has less options, it’s still amazing value at under $400.
Mr Coffee Cafe Barista
If you’re looking for something simple without all the frills (and price) of other home espresso machines, the Cafe Barista should be on your radar.
It’s simple to use for a single or double espresso, cappuccino, or latte.
That said, it struggles to get the nuanced flavor from your beans and if you need to make several shots in a row it will start flagging.
But with such a generous discount for Prime Big Deal Days, it’s hard to walk away.
Nespresso Vertuo Next
Built by De’Longhi, the Vertuo Next is a compact and affordable coffee maker for anyone who’s tight on space and wants an easy coffee solution.
The Vertuo capsules are more expensive than regular Nespresso ones, but the coffee quality is also a lot higher. So it depends what matters more to you.
If black coffee or espresso are your go-to drinks and you want no more fuss (or mess) than popping in a capsule, then this could be the one for you.
If you like a milky coffee, you can get it bundled with the Aeroccino milk frother. The saving isn’t quite as big but it’s still a great deal.
Nespresso Vertuo Pop+ with Aeroccino
This is another compact Nespresso machine built by DeLonghi. The Pop+ is newer and even smaller than the Vertuo Next.
Smaller means less space for used pods, a smaller carafe, and less space under the nozzle. It also does one fewer coffee size compared to the Vertuo Next.
But it functions essentially the same and is a little bit cheaper. Currently, you can get the Vertuo Pop+ bundled with the Aeroccino for less than the machine usually retails for on its own.
If you don’t want to make milk drinks, the Pop+ is discounted on its own, here, too.
Nespresso VertuoPlus Deluxe with Aeroccino
The VertuoPlus Deluxe is one of our favorite single-serve coffee machines. We love the range of capsule options Nespresso offers (though you need to shop their more expensive Vertuo range) and how simple it is to use and clean.
If you’re short on space, this is a great option. It’s super narrow so can easily side onto your counter beside other appliances that demand more room. Having said that, it’s much bigger than the Vertuo Next or Pop+.
Currently, the most generous discount is on the bundle deal with the Aeroccino milk frother. Buying them together is cheaper than getting the machine on its own. So even if you hardly use it, it’s a great bargain on a good Nespresso machine.
Nespresso Creatista Plus
With 8 pre-programmed coffee options and a 3-second heat-up time, the distance between you and your first sip of the good stuff just got shorter.
The Creatista Plus has a bright screen and you can quickly scroll through the options using the little knob. But we find it a little awkward to use as it’s on top of the machine.
My wife, Katie, is pretty short so struggles to see it when it’s on the countertop.
But we can overlook that for the auto-milk frother, quick espresso brewing, and dedicated hot water spout. And with a huge discount for Prime Big Deal Days, how can you resist?
DeLonghi All-In-One
Can’t choose between espresso and drip coffee? Why not get both?!
The DeLonghi All-In-One is a solid combo option aimed more at casual coffee drinkers. If you’re seriously into your espresso, this isn’t the machine for you. But if you mostly sip on a pot of coffee throughout the day and like to have a latte or cappuccino on occasion, it’s a good option.
For making espresso drinks, you’ll need to get a separate tamper as the plastic one is pretty flimsy. Plus a milk jug if you want to use the (pretty decent) milk wand.

AeroPress
The AeroPress has something of a cult following. And for good reason, it brews incredible quality coffee.
Sure, it takes a little bit of time to nail your technique. Mostly because there are thousands of ways you can use it (we favor the inverted method).
But once you know what you like, it’s amazing! Plus it’s so small and lightweight you can throw it back in your cupboard when you’re done.
Or in your suitcase – we’ve recently started traveling with ours anytime we’re out of town and it’s an absolute game-changer.
Hario Mizudashi Cold Brew Coffee Maker
We might be firmly in cosy season but is there ever really a bad time to sip on a delicious, smooth cold brew coffee?
It’s easy to make cold brew at home, especially with the Hario Mizudashi. For us, this is the best value option out there.
It’s simple to use, compact enough to tuck into the fridge, easy to clean, and it brews a diluted cold brew that can be drunk as is (not a concentrate like some of its competitors).
Get it while it’s hot for coffee while it’s cold.
Braun BrewSense 12-Cup Coffee Maker
One of our favorite 4-cup drip coffee makers is in the sale!
You can brew 1-4 cups or a full 12-cup carafe. We’re big fans of the gold-tone reusable filter and the charcoal water filters for better taste.
The only downside we had with the Braun was the price. So with it discounted for Prime Big Deal Days, we think it’s one of the best drip coffee makers around.
All the features you want, great coffee, and now a great price. We love it.
Black & Decker 12-Cup Coffee Maker
This is a fan-favorite budget coffee maker that brews a consistent cup of joe.
It’s easy to clean and easy to program which is an absolute must in a drip coffee maker, in our opinion.
If you’re on a tight budget and looking to maximize every single one of those dollars spent, this is the one for you. You can expect “no frills” yet still enjoyable coffee for minimal fuss.
Ninja DualBrew Pro
Variety is the spice of life. And with the Ninja DualBrew Pro you can add that spice to your coffee.
It lets you use pre-ground coffee or K-cups, has 9 different drink size options from small cups all the way up to travel mugs, 4 brewing styles – Classic, Rich, Over Ice, or Specialty. Plus there’s a foldaway milk frother.
In short, you can make coffee exactly how you like it… Even better, exactly how everyone in the family likes it.
Keurig K-Mini
At less than 5” wide, the Keurig K-Mini offers easy coffee without taking up your whole countertop. While it won’t brew espresso, it will brew 6-12oz of your favorite K Cup at a touch with almost no mess.
K cups have their place as one of the easiest ways to remove the specter of instant coffee from your life. If you’ve already got a favorite, or are willing to try out a bunch until you find one, then this is a great deal.
Don’t expect coffee miracles, but a small and great value option for those who want a quick, no-fuss cup of coffee at home.
Keurig K-Duo
Combination coffee makers often mean compromise. But the K-Duo does both single-serve and drip coffee impressively well for the price.
We’re much more into drip coffee than K-cups so we spent more time tasting batches from the K-Duo and it performed really well.
K-Cups are great at what they do, they definitely have a time and place. And anyone with a coffee divide in their house will see the huge benefit of a machine like this.
Maybe not the prettiest Keurig machine in the world, but it looks fine and works great.
Fellow Ode Brew Grinder Gen 2
If pour over, AeroPress, or French press is your drink of choice, the Fellow Ode Brew grinder is one of the best you can get for the price.
Give it a miss if you want to brew espresso though. Instead, look at the Fellow Opus. In white, it’s also discounted just now.
In terms of grind quality and how simple the Ode Brew Grinder is to use, it more than justifies the hefty price tag.
Currently, the discount is only available on the white version which is a shame as we think the black is more sleek and suits more kitchens. But we’re willing to overlook it for such a big saving on a great coffee grinder.
Timemore Chestnut C3 Max Pro
Timemore excels at making budget-friendly manual coffee grinders.
Their C3 range is best suited to anyone who drinks drip coffee or French press – its performance drops off a cliff once you go any finer.
The Chestnut C3 Max Pro is the Big Daddy of the C3 range. It has a foldable handle that sits flush with the grinder’s body (not like our basic C3, pictured) and it has a larger capacity of 30-35g.
For the quality and consistency of grinds it produces, it’s an absolute steal in the sales.
Javapresse Grinder
JavaPresse makes the most affordable manual grinder currently on the market. And, in the Prime Big Deal Days, it’s even more affordable.
Don’t get me wrong, it’s not the best quality grinder out there. But for the price, it’s incredible value for money particularly if you’re new to freshly grinding your coffee beans.
It excels at coarser brewing methods like French press or drip. However, if you’re looking to make espresso, it doesn’t quite hit the mark.
Being small and lightweight, you can easily throw it in your bag too.

Fellow Stagg EKG
For precision pouring, the Fellow Stagg EKG takes top marks. It’s by far the best electric gooseneck kettle on the market (in our oh so humble opinion) but the sticking point is usually the hefty price tag.
So when we see it with a big fat discount slapped on it, we get VERY excited.
The temperature can be adjusted in single-degree increments between 135 and 210°F, it has a built-in stopwatch, and can hold the temperature for up to 1 hour. Plus it looks fab and is comfortable to hold.
If you love pour over coffee, this needs to be in your home coffee setup.
Bodum Bistro Gooseneck Electric Kettle
A gooseneck kettle is a must-have in any pour over coffee lover’s arsenal. And the Bodum Melior is a great budget-friendly electric option.
It doesn’t give you the same control as some of the more expensive options. For starters, there’s no temperature control options.
What we do like is how comfortable it is to hold the cork handle. Though I’m not 100% sold on how it looks.
Normcore V4 Coffee Tamper
When you first get into espresso pulling, you quickly realize just how many variables there are to perfect your shot. And how many gadgets this includes!
One non-negotiable in your espresso setup should be a *good quality* tamper.
That’s exactly what Normcore delivers – and for an affordable price. (Especially when it’s in the sale!)
We’re always really impressed by how even our extractions are when using it. Bring spring loaded means you get some feedback too which is really nice.
Jura Glass Milk Container
One of life’s greatest hardships is that Jura coffee makers are almost never in the sales. But Prime Big Deal Days is giving us the next best thing (kinda) with a discounted Jura glass milk container.
As Jura’s don’t come with this automatically, you need a separate container for any milky drinks you want to make. This can be literally anything but the glass one looks pretty slick.
You can pop it back in the fridge to keep the milk fresh when you’re not using it too.
When is Prime Big Deal Days?
This year, Amazon Prime Big Deal Days will be on Tuesday 8th and Wednesday 9th of October 2024.
The event starts at 0.01 PT on Tuesday 8th and will run for 48 hours. This discount frenzy is similar to Black Friday/ Cyber Monday weekend, Amazon Prime Day which usually falls in July, and the Big Spring Sale in March. Each of these events offers big discounts across the entirety of the Amazon store so there are plenty of bargains to be found.
Many of the deals only show up if you are an Amazon Prime member and signed into your account. So make sure you’ve got a Prime membership or free trial, and you’re signed in before you go bargain hunting. If you click through one of our links and don’t see a discount, chances are you’re not signed in to your Amazon account.
What is Amazon Prime Big Deal Days?
Amazon Prime Big Deal Days is a two-day sales shopping event and a variation of the famous and very popular “Amazon Prime Day” that happens every July.
In the past, the October sales event ran as the “Prime Early Access Sale” to entice shoppers before the busy holiday sales period. Now, it looks like the event is here to stay but under the new name of “Amazon Prime Big Deal Days”.
Throughout the event, you’ll find a special section on Amazon.com with the Big Deal Days offers. From there, you can search by category. There are usually deals across all departments so you can go all out and fill your trolley with everything from coffee makers to gardening supplies.
In Which Countries Will Prime Big Deal Days Take Place?
Prime Big Deal Days will take place in 19 countries: the US, the UK, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, and Turkey.
How can you get a “Lightning Deal”?
Lightning deals are time-limited deals that happen during Amazon Prime sales events. They’re usually very big discounts that run for only a few hours or until they’ve sold out. Obviously the goal is to encourage you to keep checking back during the event in case something is heavily discounted.
This is where you’re sure to find the best Amazon Prime Big Deal Days coffee maker discounts but you have to constantly check in order to get them. (Or use this page to save you the hard work!) You can find them on the main Big Deal Days page or by visiting the ‘Today’s Deals’ section. You need to be ready to pull the trigger as soon as you see the deal – if you hesitate too long, it’ll be gone.
Are Prime Big Deal Days Coffee Discounts Worth It?
Each deal is different and many are there to suck you in without actually being that good a deal. This is why we dig through them all to find out which ones are actually big discounts and which are fairly common sales prices dressed up as a big deal.
The idea is they want to draw us in with large discount percentages and prey on our fear of missing the great bargain. Having such a time-limited event pushes people to impulse buy rather than digging around to find out how great the price actually is.
It can be really difficult to work out which are great marketing and which are great deals.
The best way to make sure you get a good deal is to see what other retailers are selling the product for, find the price on the manufacturers own website if you can. Then you’ll know if you’re getting a bargain
If in doubt, remember the words of my wise Mom: “It’s only a bargain if you needed it anyway.”
