When is Black Friday?
Black Friday is a loose term these days. Originally, it was a single-day event the day after Thanksgiving – so November 25th this year. Scenes of long early morning queues and flying elbows were not uncommon outside the doors of big retailers.
Then it became the Black Friday to Cyber Monday event – basically the whole weekend after Thanksgiving. And the sales took to the online world too so you can shop at home (or the office, we won’t tell the boss!) in a much less intense environment.
Now, for many retailers, it is a month-long event with offers kicking off at the start of November and then bleeding into pre-Christmas sales.
So, you can bag yourself a bargain several weeks in advance, before the delivery services get overrun.
Is Black Friday Only in the US?
Black Friday may have started in the US in response to the shopping rush after Thanksgiving, but global companies, capitalism, and the power of marketing have taken this event worldwide.
Now, you will see Black Friday deals in many countries around the world across almost every product you can imagine. With the cost of living crisis hitting globally, retailers will be keen to try and entice customers into spending with some great deals.
Are Black Friday Coffee Deals Worth It?
Retailers know a thing or two about psychology. Specifically the psychology behind making you part with your hard-earned cash.
Frustratingly, this means it’s fairly common practice for the price of some products to creep up a couple of months before Black Friday. Doing so means retailers can advertise an artificially large discount and hopefully drive sales.
It’s an age-old trick that works on our FOMO and we’re all guilty of falling into it. When a deal is for a “limited time only”, it drives the urge to impulse buy.
This means it can be really hard to separate the truly good deals from the truly good marketing.
The best thing we can advise is to do your research before the big sales hit. So have in your mind what your favorite coffee maker (or grinder, beans, kettle) is and what it would usually cost. That way you won’t be swayed by the shiny thing you don’t need or a ‘saving’ of only $2.
As my mom likes to say “It’s only a bargain if you needed it anyway.” Words to live by when shopping the Black Friday’s best coffee maker deals.
What About Cyber Monday?
Where Black Friday started in brick-and-mortar stores, Cyber Monday was the invention of online retailers. They wanted to cut through the noise of Black Friday deals and have their own day the following Monday.
Nowadays, they all run into each other and it’s more of a “Most-of-November Sale”. Deals start online and in-store well before Black Friday and last until well after Cyber Monday.

Bodum Chambord French Press
When it comes to classic coffee makers, you would be hard pressed to find anything more iconic than a Bodum Chambord French press coffee maker.
Think lazy Sunday mornings, sipping delicious coffee, and watching the world go by. That’s where French press coffee makers excel.
Of all the coffee styles out there, French press is up there as the easiest to make. As they are built to last a lifetime, even paying full price is a bargain for the Bodum Chambord. But when Black Friday offers a serious chunk off, it’s an offer that’s too good to resist.
Ninja DualBrew Pro System (12 Cup)
The Ninja DualBrew offers the ultimate in easy coffee with maximum flexibility to suit your lifestyle.
You can choose to use pre-ground coffee or K-cup coffee pods. With the ground coffee, you can choose to brew in 9 different sizes from a small cup to full 12-cup carafe. Or, with the coffee pods, you can choose from 4 different sizes (6 to 12oz). So there really is something for everyone.
At the touch of a button, there are 4 different brew styles: classic, rich, over ice or specialty. Plus, there’s a foldaway milk frother if you like a milky coffee drink.
It really couldn’t be simpler and should keep the whole family happy too.
Mr Coffee 5-Cup Mini Brew
If you’re looking for a bargain priced, no-fuss coffee maker then this mini brewer from Mr Coffee has you covered.
It will make two 12-oz cups of coffee, perfect to get some much-needed caffeine into your system in the morning. Plus, all you need to do is flick a button – nothing complicated here.
At just 7.3 x 9.9 x 10.7 inches it will fit into even the smallest of kitchen spaces.
Don’t expect the greatest cup of coffee you’ve ever had in your life. But for such a low price, we can’t say no!
Takeya Cold Brew Coffee Maker
The patented design of the Takeya cold brew coffee maker has gained cult status in the cold brewing world (if that’s not a place, we are petitioning for it to be.)
Despite it’s large size (2 quarts), it’s portable. So you can keep enjoying your cold brew no matter where you are. Um, yes please!
To ensure it survives life on the road, it is made of plastic. So not the most premium of experiences. But it also doesn’t come with a premium price tag, so we have to take the wins where we get them.
As long as you want the full 2 quarts, you don’t need to measure your ratio separately. Simply fill the mesh grounds basket, fill up with water, and you’re good to go.
Bodum Pour Over Coffee Maker
It looks like a Chemex, works kinda like a Chemex, but it’s made by Bodum. If you want an easy way to start making pour over this could be for you.
While the permanent filter will allow a small amount of sediment into the brew, it’s still clear and bright. You also don’t have to buy filters all the time, which is a bonus.
More forgiving than a Hario V60, the easy to follow instructions will have you drinking beautifully aromatic pour over in no time. It’s also really cheap so you can have it as an occasional treat brewing method, rather than your every day, if you don’t fancy the work each morning.
Cheap, easy to use, easy to clean, looks good, delicious coffee. This is an absolute winner for anyone wanting to drink pour over coffee.
Braun BrewSense KF7000 Drip Coffee Maker
The Braun BrewSense is a feature packed drip coffee maker.
With a 24-hour programmable timer, you can make sure your coffee is freshly brewed for when you roll out of bed in the morning.
The dishwasher-safe carafe can hold up to 12 cups. But you can also brew smaller amounts if that’s just a little too much caffeine.
While it is more expensive for a drip coffee machine, being able to pick it up in the sales makes it great value. Paying a little extra for a trusted brand with high build quality and better coffee is always a good thing in our opinion.
Breville Barista Touch
It’s not often you see one of Breville’s automatic espresso machines hit the sales. So this is kind of a big deal. And is well worth buying straight away in case the discounts go away.
The Breville Barista Touch is perfect if you want the espresso making process to be as simple and consistent as possible, whilst still being personalized to you.
Alongside the pre-programmed drinks, you can also create your own custom coffees and save them to the machine. There are 8 drinks slots to save your delicious coffee creations so they’re always available at the touch of a button
You do have to tamp the grounds yourself, and the portafilter is 54mm (not the professional 58mm). But these are all things that we are willing to overlook for such an incredible machine. Even more so at the awesome Cyber Monday discount!
If tamping is just too much work, check out the newest Breville model – the Barista Express Impress – which you can also snap up for a knocked down price.
Jura is the cream of the crop when it comes to exceptional quality coffee at the touch of a button.
The Jura S8 is easy to operate, easy to clean, easy to drink the incredible coffee quality. In love? Us too.
As a bean-to-cup machine, the only decisions you have to make are which beans to use and which style of coffee you want to drink.
It’s not often that Jura machines go on discount, so this is a Black Friday coffee maker deal to snap up straight away. In fact, it’s only available in Black, not the Chrome model too. So, if you wait too long you might end up kicking yourself.
The name Keurig is synonymous with top-quality coffee makers, available at the touch of a button. And the K-Mini is the compact, hard-hitter in their range that won’t disappoint.
This is the ideal single serve coffee companion who want consistently delicious coffee at the touch of a button. But who also don’t have loads of space to give up for a coffee maker. Mini really does mean Mini – it’s less than 5″ wide.
The only downside is that the water reservoir can only hold enough water for 1 cup – it’s mini after all. So, if you need something that’s a little bigger you should look to the Keurig K-Elite (also reduced for Black Friday) – check it out here.
With an insane number of pod options to choose from, you’re bound to find a coffee variety you absolutely love. If you’ve not already found ‘The One’.
De’Longhi La Specialista Arte
Feel like a barista with the La Specialista Arte automatic espresso maker.
The built-in grinder has 8 grind settings and there are 3 pre-programmed coffee settings to get you started. But, from there, you can customize your espresso shots to your own perfection.
The milk wand is superb for producing silky microfoam, perfect for practicing your latte art. Plus it will stay cool to the touch so there are no accidental burns.
It even won a RedDot design award for 2022. So you know it’s pretty darn special.
Mr Coffee One-Touch Coffee House
If you’re just starting out on your home espresso making journey, the Mr. Coffee One-Touch Coffee House is a great choice.
Not only is it affordable (extra so in the Black Friday sale), it is super simple to use. As a first automatic espresso machine, all you need to practice is grinding your coffee beans (separately) and tamping in the portafilter. The machine will take care of the rest for you.
The price was inflated just before Black Friday to make the coffee maker deal seem better. So whilst the percentage discount isn’t quite as big as it first appears, it is still a bargain.
The De’Longhi Stilosa is a really solid budget espresso machine option. My parents have been using their for years without any problems.
Throughout the year, you can pick up this budget-friendly machine at various discounts just like this Black Friday coffee maker deal. A cheeky discount just makes the deal a little sweeter.
It’s a manual machine so you do need to grind, weigh, tamp, and time your shots. But it’s pretty easy to get a solid espresso from it. The foaming wand also works well and whilst it has a single boiler, the time from coffee to milk isn’t too long at all.
Overall, this is a great budget espresso machine option.
Gevi 20 Bar Espresso Maker
Gevi produce good quality, all round espresso makers for those on a budget. And their 20 bar offering is no exception.
Any time you can pick up on of the Gevi range of espresso machines at a discount, it’s definitely worth having a second look.
This 20 bar machine offers great, consistent pressure to pull delicious shots of espresso. You can make your espresso from either ground coffee or Nespresso capsules which is a great feature to give you absolute flexibility. Although you do need to buy a separate portafilter for the capsules which is annoying – we would like to see it included as standard.
For your peace of mind, it also has an auto-shutoff feature after 15 mins, protects from overheating, and an auto pressure relief.
Gaggia Anima Prestige
If you want a piece of espresso history on your counter, you want a Gaggia. They are one of the original espresso machine makers and have continued the tradition of quality coffee making since the 1940s.
The Anima Prestige is one of the greatest super-automatic machines out there. It is simple to use and will give you a great coffee. We can’t really ask for more.
With a decent discount this Black Friday, this could be your perfect espresso bargain.
Philips 3200 Series with LatteGo
Are your morings a chaotic struggle from that first alarm to stepping out the door? We hear you and is why we love fully automatic one-touch coffee machine deals. Even if it only eases one part of the to-do list.
The touch screen is simple to operate and you can customize your coffee drinks and milk frothing to suit. Whilst it won’t clean itself, the parts are easy to remove and can be thrown in the dishwasher which is the next best thing.
You can currently get the Philips 3200 in the Black Friday sales either with the Classic Milk Frother or with LatteGo – their proprietaty tech for perfect quality latte milk.
Nespresso Vertuo Next
Black Friday is a great time to get yourself the perfect single-serve machine, saving you on trips to your local coffee shop every day.
Nespresso has nailed the easy-to-use coffee model. So, it doesn’t matter how sleep deprived, hungover, or unfocused you are, the Vertuo Next will deliver great tasting coffee every time at just the press of a button.
It’s a compact, simple to use and clean machine made by De’Longhi so you know the build quality will be superb.
The lack of milk frothing may be an issue for some people. But as a coffee machine for home or office, it doesn’t get much better or easier than this. Plus their range of coffee pods and capusales keeps getting bigger and bigger, including some superb single origin options.
Nespresso VertuoPlus + Aeroccino3
As the smallest (and newest) machine in the Vertuo line, the VertuoPlus should fit into even the smallest of spaces in your kitchen. It’s just 5.5 inches wide.
Being easy-to-use is the number one priority for Nespresso. And they nail it every time.
The Vertuo line of coffee makers will only take the Nespresso Vertuo capsules which is a little annoying as you’re tied in. However, where they excel is in the capsule design:
Each capsule has a barcode which the machine will read and adapt the brewing parameters to fit. This means minimal effort from you for maximum coffee quality.
For the ultimate in top value, when you buy the Nespresso Black Friday deal from Breville (the manufacturer) directly it includes a tasting box of Vertuo capsules to get you started.
If you love your milky espresso drinks, nabbing this combo deal with the Aeroccino is not to be missed.
Nespresso Gran Lattissima
For the ultimate in easy coffee making, the Gran Lattissima has you covered.
Using patented technology from De’Longhi alongside the incredible range of Nespresso coffee pods, you can have Barista quality drinks at just the touch of a button. And, if a milky latte, cappuccino, or cortado are your preferred espresso drinks, the in-built milk frother has you covered too.
It’s not just the coffee making that’s easy either, it couldn’t be simpler to clean up. All the removable parts are dishwasher safe and the milk frother has a rinse function.
Choose between Sophisticated Black or Fresh White – both sleek options that should fit with any style of kitchen.
Nespresso Creatista Pro
With 8 pre-programmed coffee options and a 3-second heat up time, the distance between you and your first sip of the good stuff just got shorter.
The Creatista Pro is a touchscreen operated machine from Nespresso – the only in their line-up of great single serve coffee machines. But the touchscreen is on the top which is a little awkward, particularly if you were planning to sit the machine underneath some kitchen cupboards.
But we can overlook that for the auto-milk frother, quick espresso brewing, and dedicated hot water spout. And with a huge discount for Black Friday, how can you resist?
Volcanica: 20% Off Sitewide
Volcanica has you covered with some great Black Friday coffee deals – you can currently get 20% off all their products.
If you’ve ever fancied trying out some new beans then this is the perfect time to do so.
Lifeboost: 20% Off Sitewide
From now until 30th November, you can snap up some incredible coffee from Lifeboost at 20% off.
All of their coffees have been produced with your health in mind. They are gentle on the stomach thanks to their low-acid levels. Plus, they’re all organic, and shade grown so they’re healthy to the environment too.
Coming from a single farm in Nicaragua, each of their coffees knocks it out the park. If you need a little help choosing your favorite, check out our guide to their full range.
Alturistic Joe: 10% Off Sitewide
Coffee with a conscience is what Alturistic Joe is all about. So, whilst you are shopping the bargains this Black Friday, you can feel good about the fact 20% of your purchase is going to charitable organizations.
As a veteran owned company, they know the importance of good people. So they are committed to working with the coffee farmers on the ground to make sure they get the price for the coffee. And you get the best tasting cup of joe possible. It’s a win-win.
Timemore Chestnut C2 Max
The first step in upgrading your home coffee experience is to add a good coffee grinder to your setup. And it’s even better when you can get a quality one at a bargain price.
The Timemore Chestnut C2 Max is a great bit of kit. It’s an upgrade on the Chestnut C2 in terms of bigger size and metal grind adjustment rather than the previous plastic parts. Plus at just 1lb, you can easily pop it in your bag if you spend a lot of time on the road.
For espresso drinkers, the grind quality won’t quite be good enough. But for everyone else, it’s a great bargain solution.
The JavaPresse manual coffee grinder is a good place to start on your coffee grinding journey. And, for the discounted Black Friday price, it’s an incredible place to start!
For espresso lovers, the quality will fall a little short. But, for coarser brewing methods like French press or pour over, you won’t find anything as good as this for the price.
Being small and lightweight, you can easily throw it in your bag to take your coffee game up a notch on the road too.
Is the Capresso Infinity perfect? No. But is a good first step into coffee grinding that will improve your coffee quality? Absolutely.
When purchasing an entry-level grinder, you always have to make a trade-off in some respects. And this one works well where it really matters: consistency of grounds.
Capresso has also built their grinder to last. So you can expect consistency for years to come. All at a steal of a price compared to many other burr coffee grinders.
Hario V60 “Buono” Drip Kettle
When it comes to drip coffee, Hario sit at the top of the tree.
If you want to make the perfect Hario V60 coffee, you need the full lineup. That includes the drip coffee maker and the Buono Drip Kettle.
The iconic shape is instantly recognizable the world over. When it comes to making your drip coffee, the slim spout puts you in control of the quantity and speed of hot water being poured over your grounds. Manual coffee brewing doesn’t get better than this.
If you’ve spent much time hanging around in our corner of the internet, you will know that we LOVE whiskey rocks when the summer rolls around.
I know what you’re thinking… This is a coffee site so what does whiskey have to do with anything?
Well, if you love an iced coffee or cold brew when the summer months rolls around, just adding regular ice is a mugs game. It will dilute your great tasting cup of coffee, changing the flavor, and ruining all your hard work. But by adding whiskey rocks straight from the freezer, you get the same chilling benefits with none of the downsides.
But they are a moving target so we’ll be keeping an eye on all the best deals as the event progresses. This page will be updated daily throughout the full Black Friday/Cyber Monday period to help you find the perfect coffee deal.
Will the coffee maker you’ve had your eye on hit the sales?
